Dubrovik Attractions
There
is something for everyone in Dubrovnik and each person leaves knowing
they have found something special.
Dubrovnik Old Town (Stari Grad)
is unique in the history that has given it its character to
this day. Once you walk through the drawbridge that marks the entrance,
you leave behind the modern world and can travel as far as your
mind can take you!
The town walls are open to the public(for a small charge) and are
worth the effort as the view of the town is unparalleled. As it
is extemely hot in the middle of the day and there are many stairs
to climb it is recommended that you visit the walls in the morning
or early evening.
Lokrum overlooks Dubrovnik's Old City Walls.
Boats run regularly throughout the day at half hour intervals from
the Old Town Harbour. Tickets are reasonably priced and can be purchased
before departure from a ticket stall at the harbour.
We also recommend visiting the Elaphite Islands (day trip usually combining stops at Kolocep, Lopud and Šipan) and Mljet where part of the island is a national park.
